Last month, I suffered a hard drive failure. I found your firm in an internet search and called you for advice. You quoted me prices for data recovery with precise amounts for each step which might be required to recover the data and you called me to inform me of the results and get my permission to proceed to the next step in recovery. Other firms gave me a price range with well over $1,000 between the low and high and when I asked for a fixed price or at least a narrower range, was told that they would have to look at the hardware to make that determination. In our own efforts to protect our valuable data, we install a new backup hard drive, where our critical data is stored. In the process of saving the data to that hard drive, it crashed. Error codes generated by the manufacture’s diagnostic tool indicated that the hard drive was unrecoverable.
However, your company was able to activate the drive and recover the data flawlessly.
Additionally, this experience highlighted an oversight in our own data archiving procedures that will be not repeated.
